Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB

The standing ventures had waiting times of up to 5 years. On the whole, over 18,000 flats were carried out in 2024, says HDB.

According to HDB, the conclusion of Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) notes the completion of all flats in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Phase 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO projects, which were completed in 2024.

At present, 110 HDB housing projects are under construction, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to accomplish around 17,000 flats across 27 ventures in 2025.

As at Jan 15, 37 households or about 7% of 555 booked units have collected their keys.

Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has released the finalization of the last 2 pandemic-delayed projects from HDB, according to a Jan 20 launch.

Both Build-to-Order (BTO) projects, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) and Kempas Residences, note the completion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed housing ventures. As a whole, the 92 projects have provided over 75,800 new condos to Singaporeans over the last five years.

In 2024, HDB completed a total of 22 home ventures, 17 of which were delayed by the pandemic. With the exemption of one that was delayed as a result of non-pandemic reasons, the remaining 4 house plans were finished on time.

As at Jan 15, 657 households or 59% of 1,109 reserved units have collected their keys.

The 22 house projects featured 2 Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) ventures, that were finished in just a waiting period of a lot less than 3 years. The SWT work, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, comprised a total amount of 1,995 apartments.

Condo proprietors of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have been obtaining the keys to their brand-new residence since November 2024, whilst key collection for Kempas Residence began in mid-January this year.

The final block, that was delayed by six months from its original PCD, was finished in mid-January.

Situated in between Serangoon Roadway, Lavender Road and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room apartments across four residential blocks.

Positioned along New Punggol Roadway, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) makes up 1,179 units of two-room flexi, three-, 4- and five-room apartments all over 6 non commercial blocks. Following pandemic delays, the project’s last block was completed 12 months from its first Probable Completion Date (PCD) at an earlier time this month.

HDB is anticipated to alert the remaining flat owners of their key collection date shortly, following the completion of the final blocks just within both ventures this month.
